Question: My doctor has told me to be punctual about taking medicine. Can Samarth assist in taking medicine on time?

Using Samarth App Reminder feature, you can set reminders for medicine. Medicine reminders can be set for daily, weekly or monthly reoccurrence. At the time of your medicine, a reminder will be played on phone.

To set a ‘Medicine’ reminder, tap on the ‘Care’ option on main screen. On subsequent screen tap on ‘Set Reminder’. Select Medicine Reminder, add medicine name, start date & end date and time for reminder. For daily medicine, select ‘Daily’ frequency and tap on Save. The reminder will be played same time every day.

 

Question: My favourite movie will be telecasted on coming Sunday. I do not want to miss it? Can you remind me for same?

Samarth App reminder facility can be used to store reminder for the watching the movie. Apart from reminder to watch a movie, play etc, reminders can be created for multiple activities e.g. to visit, to call, for a meeting etc. Samarth Calendar shows color-coded activities for the day, week and month for an insight into the day, week or month.

To set a ‘Watch’ reminder, tap on the ‘Care’ option on main screen. On subsequent screen tap on ‘Set Reminder’. Select Watch Reminder, add Movie Name, start date and time for reminder. The reminder will be played on specified date and time for movie.

 

Question: I’m a Samarth member. Do I need to register for using Samarth app?

Your Samarth account is valid for Samarth app as well. Samarth app has various features available for all without logging in. These features include useful information on health, money matters, lifestyle, home & family, senior tours, senior housing, and features like e-Magazine, expert advice, health insurance. However, we recommend to login in into the app to access value added features like, reminders, text magnifier, location sharing, samarth card on mobile, setup care network.

To login, click on three bar menu on top and tap on Login/Register. Use your samarth username and password to login in the app on subsequent login screen.

For new users, you can register by tapping on ‘Create new Account’ at bottom of login screen.

 

Question: My medicine schedule changed after last 2 doctor visits. I missed my medicine twice this week because of frequent change. I wish the doctor’s office had setup reminders for this new medicine schedule. Can you setup reminders for me remotely?

While the doctor’s office may not setup reminders, we at Samarth are committed to provide value added services. Using Samarth App, you can designate someone as part of ‘Care Network’. A person added to your Care Network, can setup required reminders for you remotely from wherever they are. For Samarth Care Plan subscribers, Samarth team is part if care network and sets up medical reminders. To know more about care plans, please visit our care website.

You can add friend or family in your phone contact in ‘Care Network’. To add, tap on three bar menu and then tap on ‘Care Network’ option. On Care Network Screen, tap on ‘Add Care Network’ and select friend or family name on subsequent screen to add them as Care Givers. A SMS will be sent to them. Once the Care Giver installs Samarth App, they will be able to set reminders for you.

 

Question: How can Samarth app help me ‘getting things done’ at home?

Samarth has partnered with established service providers for home maintenance services in Delhi NCR region. Using Samarth App, you can request various services e.g. electrician, plumber, AC service, Security Camera installation and much more. Once a service is requested, our care advisor will contact you and schedule an appointment with service provider at a time convenient to you. This service is available to all members in Delhi NCR region.

To request a service, tap on the ‘Care’ option on main screen. On subsequent screen tap on ‘Request Services’. Select required service e.g. Home maintenance, provide necessary information and click Save.

 

Question: If there is case of emergency, can Samarth App help in getting ambulance service?

At the time of emergency time is of essence. To reduce the connect time with hospital, we have introduced the medical emergency button in Delhi NCR region for samarth care plan members in Delhi NCR. On tap of this button, a call is automatically connected to Max Hospital Emergency number, where once can request for ambulance.

 

Question: I would like to go out to meet my friends, shopping and movies, however with new flyovers and metro construction, I feel that my city is not recognizable. My children are concerned, and ask me to call them after every half hour, when I’m away for longer duration. How do I assure them and address their concern?

To facilitate movement of seniors, Samarth App has a location sharing feature. If you are going out for a while and would like your children to be aware of your location, you can use Share location feature of Samarth App.

To Share location, tap on the care option, select Share Location. On subsequent screen, select whom do you want to send the location to, choose a duration and tap on Share Now. Your location will be shared to selected contact for duration selected by you. To share with more than one person, repeat the above process.

 

Question: I find it difficult to read small prints in restaurants menu, medicines labels? Is there a handy solution for that?

Samarth App has a unique reading magnifier that provides a solution to the problem of reading small print like medicine labels, menus in restaurants. The magnifier also utilizes the LED light of the phone to read in low light areas. Magnifier is great for reading medicine labels, restaurant’s menu, bills with small prints. The text can be magnified to a level as desired by you. 

To open Magnifier, tap on the more option, select ‘Magnifier’. Point the phone back camera towards the text to be read. The text will be visible on phone screen. Use +/- buttons to increase/decrease the reading size.

 

Question: I’ll be getting knee surgery next month. I’ll require an attendant to help for 2 weeks. What should I do?

Samarth has partnered with established service providers for providing attendant and nurse in Delhi NCR region. Using Samarth App, you can request an attendant or nurse. Once a service is requested, our care advisor will contact you to understand requirement and provide details on approximate cost. Care Advisor team will coordinate with service provider provide the attendant for required duration. This service is available to all members in Delhi NCR region.

To request a service, tap on the ‘Care’ option on main screen. On subsequent screen tap on ‘Request Services’. Select ‘Attendant at Home’, provide necessary information and click Save.

 

Question: I’m looking to buy a new air conditioner and I need assistance in buying one suitable for my needs. Can you help on same?

Using Samarth App, you can request for assistance for buying. Once a service is requested, our care advisor will contact you to understand requirement. Samarth team will evaluate available products based on your needs and provide available options. This service is available to all members enrolled in Samarth Care program in Delhi NCR region.

To request a service, tap on the ‘Care’ option on main screen. On subsequent screen tap on ‘Request Services’. Select ‘Help Me Buy’, provide necessary information and click Save.

 

Question: What is a care network?

We at Samarth define ‘Care Network’ as a group of friends and/or family who are well-wishers and available to help if need arises. Specifically, within Samarth App, you can add friends or family in your phone contact to Care Network. Person added to ‘Care Network’ can setup reminders, schedule services for you remotely from wherever they are. You can also share photographs or initiate a call* to them.

You can add friend or family in your phone contact in ‘Care Network’. To add, tap on three bar menu and then tap on ‘Care Network’ option. On Care Network Screen, tap on ‘Add Care Network’ and select friend or family name on subsequent contacts screen to add them as Care Givers. A SMS will be sent to them. Once the they install Samarth App, they will be automatically enabled to be part of your care network.

* Call is connected through your mobile network provider

 

Question: I have received a SMS that my father has added me to Care Network in Samarth App. What should I do?  

A ‘Care Network’ can be defined as a group of friends and/or family who are well-wishers and available to help if need arises. In this case, your father has invited to join Samarth App and be a part of his Care Network. Once you install the app, as a member of his care network, you are authorized to setup and manage reminders, schedule services for him remotely from wherever you are. This can help you schedule some useful reminders e.g. medicine schedule, watch a play or movie he had been wanting to see.  

Samarth app supports multiple profiles. By default, the app is setup to use your profile. To setup reminders for your father, tap on three bar menu. On Menu screen, tap down arrow next to your name (provided at time of registration) and select his name. Now your father’s profile is set to active and app is set to manage reminders and services for your father. To set a ‘Medicine’ reminder, tap on the ‘Care’ option on main screen. On subsequent screen tap on ‘Set Reminder’. Select Medicine Reminder, add medicine name, start date & end date and time for reminder. For daily medicine, select ‘Daily’ frequency and tap on Save. The reminder will be played same time every day.

You can also use the app to setup reminders and request services for yourself. To use app for yourself, select your profile as active profile from three bar menu.

 

Question: How can I install Samarth App on my phone?

Apple Iphone users can download Samarth app from App store. Search for 'samarth community' on App Store to find Samarth app or open following app link in mobile phone. Install the app from app store.

All other phone users other than microsoft phone, can download Samarth app from Google play store. Search for 'samarth life' on play store to find Samarth app or open following app link in mobile phone. Install the app from play store.
