One of the often-heard phrases of our fast-paced life happens to be “I don’t have time,” or “If only I had more time.” And this precisely is what the COVID-19 lockdown has given all of us! While it is true that we are stuck with the regular cooking, cleaning, and a bit more of the work, truth is you still have a lot of time on hand.
Most of the daily TV soaps are running repeats as the shooting and production work is stuck. All household members, including kids, are home, and are saving are on the commute time, and can thus contribute to the household work. And no one is allowed to go anywhere except to buy essentials, nor is anyone going to visit you. There are also no parties and get-togethers, and even walking is not allowed in many areas. So, what can one do with the extra bit of time in hand, even if it is only an hour or two? The best part is to use it productively, and ensure that you come out of the lockdown, learning a new skill.
If you are one of those lucky few who have always had a cook and are now learning to cook, perhaps that is what it is. But, it need not necessarily be a basic life skill, there are many online course providers, who considering the unprecedented situation are now offering free courses. Some were doing so even before the lockdown started. Here is a rundown of a few options that you can check out, register, and learn.
