The Indian government has made it mandatory for the citizens to link their Aadhaar card with a few other things. This is necessary for the citizens to continue using those particular services. For linking your PAN and Aadhaar, you need to login to the income tax portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. On the right-hand side of the homepage, you will find the link “Link Aadhaar” under the Quick Links Menu. Click on it and enter your PAN and Aadhaar numbers in the respective tabs. Mention name as mentioned in Aadhaar, complete the captcha and click on link Aadhaar. If there are no discrepancies, then the linking will be successful and you will see the message.
Linking the existing mobile number with Aadhaar is easy. All you have to do is visit your nearest respective mobile service provider with your Aadhaar details. If you are taking a new connection, then this linking is done mandatorily, by the mobile service provider.
For ease of use of senior citizens and differently abled people, for linking to the existing mobile numbers, there is an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) provided by telecom operators as a toll-free service. Mobile phone users can dial the number 14546 from their mobile number and use the IVRS-based OTP (One-Time PIN) verification system. The IVRS will guide the person through the step by step process of linking Aadhaar.
The Aadhaar number linking to your bank account is fairly simple. There are two ways to go about it. You can either do it online through the respective option of the net banking of the bank or visit the nearest bank branch. At the branch, you may be required to fill out a form and also submit a copy of the Aadhaar card. In the net banking option, all you need to do is provide details as requested.
EPF or UAN
Linking your Aadhaar number with your EPF number is mandatory as per the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). This too can be done in two ways, online or offline. For online option, you need to log into the http://www.epfindia.com/site_en/ site with your UAN number and password. There will be a KYC tab under the Manage menu option which has sub-options to link Bank account, PAN number, Aadhaar number and few more. Just click on Aadhaar and enter details requested and it will be done.
For offline option, you may use any of the nearby field offices of EPFO or Common Service Centers (CSC) outlets set up by the EPFO. Make sure to have your UAN number and a copy of the Aadhaar card while walking into the CSCs.
The linking of your insurance policy and Aadhaar can also be done online through the website of the insurance provider or offline by visiting one of their centres. While doing it online or visiting the centre, make sure to carry your policy numbers, Aadhaar number, and DOB. If offline, you may be asked to provide a copy of the Aadhaar card.
If you are using your ration card to avail discounted fuel, grains or other food supply, then you will have to link it to Aadhaar number to continue to get the benefits. This can be done offline or online.

Choose benefit type as ration card, provide ration card details, submit the OTP sent to your mobile and complete the process. An SMS will be sent to you once the linking is done.
