Most senior citizens, especially those who live independently, are unable to get the care and trusted support they need. As a result, they compromise on their needs and lifestyle inspite of financial independence.
We believe that there is an opportunity to not only address the above problems in a sustainable manner and help senior-citizens become samarth or self-reliant but also to further enrich their lifestyle through targeted support and services which are currently not available.
Samarth is building a community of senior citizens across the country and providing family-quality care to address both the physical and emotional needs of the elderly.
We help the community of senior citizens across the country to interact and engage with each other, receive information and advice on topics of health, wellness, home care, money-matters etc. and also get access to special offers and deals at many establishments.
Samarth was co-founded by Asheesh Gupta, former consultant at McKinsey & Company, co-founder of 9.9 Media and a graduate of IIT Kanpur & IIM Calcutta; Anuradha Das Mathur, an economist from University of Cambridge UK, former head of Businessworld magazine, co-founder of 9.9 Media and founding Dean of Vedica Scholars’ Program; Gaurav Agarwal, former banker at Citi and Stanchart for nearly 20 years and a graduate of MIT Manipal and FMS Delhi.
Samarth Care Program
We have launched Samarth Care (http://bit.ly/samarth_video_04), the first professionally managed service for elderly which brings family-quality care to subscribers through a network of care-associates and selected service partners. It covers both physical and emotional needs of the elderly such as 24-hour emergency support, health care support, medicine-management, home maintenance, security and safety, social engagement, opportunity for voluntary/part-time work, accompanied travel, to name a few. The care plans can be tailored according to the needs of subscribers.
The focus of our approach is on building trust and a reputation for reliability and transparency. Our people, processes, technology, training, delivery and business model are all tailored towards this goal. The mandate for every Samarth team member is “to act like the son/daughter you wish you had at home”.
The Operations activity at Samarth Comprises of the following:
Manage registrations of new members
Update information of existing members
Reconciliation of member payments
Card and magazine dispatches
Coordinate with Partners for service delivery and collate feedback from customers
Weekly checkin calls to members
Accompany members for trips to hospital / drop to station etc.
Compensation : Rs 2.4 Lakhs pa.
